On Sunday, Sept. 30, East Cambridge Savings Bank sponsored the annual East Cambridge RibFest, an outdoor food festival now in its ninth year. RibFest brings together some of Cambridge best restaurants to showcase their ribs, barbecue, and comfort food. Organized by the East Cambridge Business Association, RibFest has become a fall tradition in the neighborhood and attracts thousands of attendees. The Bank also had a booth at the event where employees could distribute giveaways and greet attendees.
The East Cambridge Business Association represents businesses in East Cambridge and Inman Square and advocates for locally owned businesses, serves as a liaison between the business community and the city, and organizes large scale community events including RibFest and Inman Eats. The association also spearheads “East Cambridge In Bloom” which decorates light and phone poles with hanging baskets and American flags every spring. East Cambridge Savings Bank was a founding member of the business association in 2008.
