Bank employees with their diplomas and Bank President & CEO Gilda Nogueira Cambridge – On June 14, a group of East Cambridge Savings Bank employees graduated from the New England School for Financial Studies, a program facilitated by the Massachusetts Bankers Association. The two-year program provides banking professionals with the resources they need to sharpen their supervisory skills and improve decision making, while gaining a stronger knowledge of the financial services industry.

Along with the graduates and their families, several members of senior management attended the graduation including Gilda Nogueira, the Bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

“All of us at the Bank applaud this year’s class for their hard work, diligence, and commitment throughout the program’s course of study,” said Nogueira. “Supporting staff members who pursue educational opportunities is the right thing to do both for our employees and the productivity of the Bank.”

The employees who completed the 2018-2019 program are:

Joseph Cavallini, Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager
KathyAnn Dottin, Business Development Manager
Ann Marie Robinson, Human Resources Manager
Lisa Scopa, Business Development Manager
Nichole Tady, Operations Manager

Also recognized for her studies was Andrea Vatalaro, Commercial Loan Assistant. Sadly, Andrea passed away suddenly in February before completing the coursework. Recognizing Andrea’s enthusiasm and commitment to the program, the New England School of Financial Studies presented her diploma to her family. Andrea’s sons, Khyle and Tristian Hope, accepted their mother’s diploma on her behalf.

Over the last decade, 16 Bank employees have completed the program.
