Housing Our Workforce (HOW):
- HOW is a Federal Home Loan Bank Boston (FHLB) grant-based program with funds available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Assists eligible homebuyers with up to $25,000 in matching grants for down-payment costs*
- Available to households earning more than 80% and up to 120% of HUD Area Median Income based on property location
- Supports borrowers who are essential to the long-term economic vitality of our communities purchase homes in communities where they work
- Recipients who are first-time homebuyers must complete homebuyer education/counseling program
