Cambridge, Mass. – East Cambridge Savings Bank today announced that Patricia ("Trish") Schiapelli has joined the bank as a commercial lending officer in the Commercial Lending Group. In this role, Schiapelli will be responsible for developing new business relationships, including lending, deposits, and cash management, as well as managing an existing portfolio of commercial clients. She will work primarily in the field calling on clients and prospects. Schiapelli reports to senior vice president and commercial banking officer Steve Mead and joined the bank on March 30.

"We are delighted to welcome Trish to our commercial lending team. She brings a remarkable depth of experience working with businesses of all sizes, and a genuine passion for helping them grow and thrive,” said Mead. “Our clients will benefit enormously from her expertise, and we look forward to the relationships she will build and deepen on behalf of the bank."

"What drew me to East Cambridge Savings Bank is what makes mutual banks special, the ability to reinvest in the very communities we serve. As a locally controlled institution, the bank's success translates directly into support for local businesses, families, and neighborhoods,” Schiapelli said. “I'm proud to be part of an organization with that kind of mission, and I'm excited to get to work for our customers and the broader community. I’ve already had the chance to attend several networking and community events and get to know the people and organizations that rely on ECSB.”

Prior to joining East Cambridge Savings Bank, Schiapelli served as vice president of sales at Northern Bank & Trust in Woburn, where she led a team across multiple business units, including cash management, investments, and 1031 exchange services. Her career in commercial banking spans more than two decades and includes senior roles at Webster Bank, Bank of America, Sovereign/Santander, and Citi Commercial Bank. Throughout her career, she has been recognized as a consistent top producer, with deep expertise in credit and risk analysis, business development, and treasury products.

Schiapelli holds a Master of Business Administration from Simmons Graduate School of Management and completed the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce "Future Leaders Program" in Leadership & Ethics, sponsored by Harvard Business School. She has been actively involved in the local nonprofit community through her role as a Board Member for Raising a Reader Massachusetts and Cambridge Center for Adult Education. Born and raised in Tustin, Calif., Schiapelli currently resides in Medford, Mass.
