Cambridge, Mass. – East Cambridge Savings Bank today announced that Nicholas LaRoche has joined the bank as vice president, commercial lending officer. In this role, LaRoche will develop new business relationships — both lending and deposits — and manage an existing portfolio of commercial clients. He will cover an extensive territory, with a focus on the Belmont and Waltham markets, and will report to Steve Mead, the bank's senior vice president and senior commercial banking officer. LaRoche began this role on March 2.

"I am very pleased to welcome Nick to East Cambridge Savings Bank and to our growing commercial lending team," Mead said. "With over 20 years of experience in banking and commercial lending, Nick has a proven track record of building strong client relationships and helping businesses reach their goals. I'm confident he'll be a tremendous asset to our customers and to this team."

"East Cambridge Savings Bank has a real reputation for doing right by its customers and showing up for the communities it serves — that's exactly the kind of institution I wanted to be part of," LaRoche said. "I've already gotten a warm welcome and have been out in the community meeting people. I'm excited to get to work and help the bank continue to grow."

Prior to joining the bank, LaRoche held commercial lending roles at TD Bank, Bank Five, and Walden Mutual Bank. A native of Rhode Island, he holds a bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College and a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management. LaRoche is a veteran, having served in the United States Navy as an airman aboard the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower. He resides in Foxborough, Mass., with his wife.
