This morning, East Cambridge Savings Bank was honored to sponsor and volunteer at the Belmont Veterans Breakfast. Organized by the Belmont Veterans’ Service Officer, this breakfast is a way for the community to say thank you to local veterans and recognize their heroic and selfless service to our nation.
President and Chief Executive Officer Gilda Nogueira was joined by a group of bank employees to serve breakfast to the veterans and thank them for their service. In attendance were local veterans who served in the Korean War, Vietnam War, and one World War II veteran in his 90’s who was part of the Invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. As we approach Veterans Day, it was a privilege to give back to members of our community who have given so much for their country.
A special thanks to the Belmont Council on Aging and Beech Street Center staff, Belmont Veteran Service Officer Bob Upton, and the Belmont, MA Police Department for their work to honor and recognize Belmont veterans at today’s breakfast.
