In an ongoing effort to improve and enhance the mobile banking experience and introduce new conveniences for customers, East Cambridge Savings Bank is pleased to announce that beginning on Monday, October 28, the Bank’s mobile app is fully compatible with Apple Watch and Android Wear OS devices. Additionally, a new text alert feature is now available to notify debit card users of potentially fraudulent activity.
Customers who have the East Cambridge mobile app on their smartphone can now view balances, see recent transactions, and on their Apple Watch or Android Wear OS device. To enable this feature, simply go into the East Cambridge app and click: Settings --> Quick Balance --> Apple Watch/Android Wear On
Also beginning today, we are introducing a fraud monitoring and prevention tool for debit card users. If potentially fraudulent activity is detected, such as a purchase or charge that is not consistent with your typical debit card usage, a text alert will be sent to your phone alerting you of the activity. You simply need to respond “Yes” to approve the transaction or “No” to decline it. There is no need to register for this service – it will automatically send alerts to the cell phone number that we have associated with the debit card being used.
These two new services are just the latest examples of the Bank’s constant investment in our mobile banking platforms.
