A group of Bank employees standing with representatives from the Arlington Education Foundation. They are holding a ceremonial check for $1,000, which is the money contributed by Bank employees to benefit Arlington Education Foundation.

A sincere thank you to East Cambridge Savings Bank employees who donated to benefit the Arlington Education Foundation. Throughout June, August, and September, employees could wear jeans to work on Fridays for a suggested donation of three dollars until we reached our goal.

The Arlington Education Foundation (AEF) is a nonprofit organization that supports and advances public education in Arlington, Massachusetts – a community where the Bank has had a presence since 2006. The organization funds system-wide initiatives and creative new projects to enhance the educational experiences of Arlington’s teachers and students. AEF awards grants at all levels of Arlington Public Schools – Menotomy Preschool, all seven elementary Schools, the Gibbs School, Ottoson Middle School and Arlington High School. To learn more about the AEF, please visit their website

Bank employees have supported 10 local nonprofit organizations since the “Jeans for Cause” campaign began in 2019. Other organizations supported in 2022 and late 2021 include HarborCOV, Arlington EATS, and The Friends of the Medford Family Network.
