Headshots of promoted employees Cambridge, Mass. – East Cambridge Savings Bank, a $1.285 billion in assets mutual savings bank, today announced the promotions of several employees to the positions of senior vice president, vice president, and other leadership roles.

Nogueira, the Bank’s president and chief executive officer. “I am incredibly proud of these dedicated members of the team and appreciate the work they do for the financial wellbeing of our customers and communities. These promotions represent both personal achievement and the Bank’s continued strength and growth.”

Carrie O’Halloran has been promoted to senior vice president, retail banking and security officer. O’Halloran joined the Bank in 2019 as senior banking center administrator. She was promoted to vice president in 2019 and most recently promoted to retail banking/security officer. O’Halloran is a graduate of the CUNA Management School and has over 25 years of retail banking experience. As a member of the executive management team, she oversees the Retail Banking network, wealth management operations and the business development team. In addition, she is responsible for the Bank’s security program. O’Halloran resides in Marshfield, Mass with her husband Paul and their beloved dog Gus.

Several promotions in the Bank’s lending division were announced including Jon C. Carrick who was promoted to vice president, commercial loan operations manager. Carrick joined the Bank in 2012 as commercial loan post-closing coordinator. He was promoted to assistant manager in 2013, commercial loan operations manager in 2017, and assistant vice president in 2018. Prior to joining the Bank, he was a member of the commercial lending team at Wells Fargo Bank. Carrick has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Temple University and a master’s degree in Business from Pepperdine University. 

Joseph Cavallini has been promoted to vice president, commercial loan portfolio manager. In this role, he manages the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio. Cavallini joined the Bank in 2017 as a loan portfolio analyst. He was promoted to assistant vice president, commercial loan portfolio manager in 2018. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked at Bank of America and Pilot Bank. Cavallini has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and graduated from the New England School for Financial Studies in 2019. A native of Milford, Mass., he currently resides in Framingham, Mass.  

Daniel J. Donell has been promoted to vice president, commercial credit officer. In this role, Donell is responsible for managing the commercial credit team. Donell joined the Bank in 2013 as a credit analyst. He was promoted to assistant manager in 2015 and assistant vice president, commercial credit officer in 2017.  Prior to joining the Bank, Donell worked at Rollstone Bank & Trust. He has a bachelor’s degree in International Commerce from Merrimack College and a master’s degree in Business from Fitchburg State University. Donell resides in Lunenburg, Mass. with his wife Katherine and two children.

In the Bank’s Operations Division, Nichole M. Tady was promoted to vice president, deposit operations and digital banking manager. Tady joined the Bank’s Retail Division in 2006. She assumed the position of electronic banking supervisor in the Operations Division in 2013 and was subsequently promoted to assistant manager electronic banking in 2015, operations manager in 2016, and assistant vice president in 2017. In 2019 Tady graduated from the New England School for Financial Studies. She was recently promoted to deposit operations and digital banking manager where she oversees deposit operations and digital banking initiatives. Tady resides in Medford, Mass with her husband and three children. 

East Cambridge Financial Services (ECFS), the Bank’s investment services division, also saw the promotion of Curtis C. Jones to vice president, investment executive. Curt joined the Bank in 2006 in a joint arrangement with Infinex. He was promoted to assistant vice president in 2012. Curt has been a financial consultant for over 21 years at organizations such as Morgan Stanley, AG Edwards, and Sovereign Bank. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from State University of New York College at Oswego. An active Board Member for Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services and Watertown Youth Basketball, Jones resides in Watertown, Mass with his wife and two sons. 

ECFS wealth management advisor Zenaida Buenaventura-Orduna was promoted to assistant vice president. Orduna joined the Bank in 2018 and has over 30 years of investment management experience, most recently employed by Merrill Lynch. Zenaida holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and a Master of Business Administration. Orduna will continue to provide wealth management services for the Cambridge, Somerville, Medford and Waltham markets. She resides in Newton with her family. 

Other promotions within management include James Tierney who was named assistant vice president, senior retail business development and sales administration. Tierney joined the Bank in 2019 as a business development manager, overseeing the Inman Square Banking Center. He was promoted to assistant vice president in 2020. In his current role, Tierney manages and organizes business development, sales and customer experience efforts for banking centers and customer service center. Tierney is an active member of the Cambridge Rotary Club and serves as their Treasurer and serves on the Corporate Engagement Committee for the American Cancer Society’s Young Professionals Board. A graduate of Endicott College with a master’s in business administration, Tierney lives in Waltham, Mass. 

Thomas Jung was recently promoted to the role of Sales Manager. In this role, Jung is responsible for managing, training, and hiring for the Bank’s retail mortgage lending area. He joined the Bank in 2020 as a residential loan officer and has 30 years of experience in consumer mortgage lending. Jung holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Northeastern University and lives in Natick, Mass. 

Karen Giesta was promoted to assistant vice president, facilities and purchasing manager. Giesta joined the Bank in 2009 and has over 40 years of purchasing and facilities management experience. In this role, she also serves as the Bank’s Safety Officer. Giesta resides in Cambridge, Mass with her husband and their dog, Ellie.
