Held annually in late summer, the event features a day-long series of basketball, soccer, and football clinics as well as tournaments that are coached by former professional athletes and local celebrities. Hoops and Hope was created by Sam Newman-Beck, a West Medford native and NBA coach. The event raises money for the West Medford Community Center and remembers Medford residents Krystle Campbell, who tragically lost her life at the April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, and Brandon Bolden, a 16-year-old who passed away in 2000 while playing basketball.

As a sponsor, the Bank had staff members on hand at the event to meet and greet attendees, pass out giveaways, and share information about products and services. Several other members of the Medford business community supported the event, underscoring the true community feel of the day.
