East End House Receives Donation
from East Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation
Community Center Benefits from $10,000

CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, March 18, 2005 – East Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation contributed $10,000 to the East End House Annual Fund. The donation will help the social service agency and community center continue to provide vital human services to children, families and individuals in Cambridge and the surrounding communities.

"Like the East End House, East Cambridge Savings Bank has a tradition of commitment to our community," said Arthur C. Spears, president and chief executive officer of
East Cambridge Savings Bank. "We are proud of our long-standing relationship with the East End House and are thrilled that our donation is going to benefit so many people."

Since 1875, East End House has been serving individuals of all ages in East Cambridge. In order to continue to make a difference in the lives of community members, East End House is fully committed to providing quality services that are effective, culturally and linguistically competent, strengths-based, developmentally appropriate, individual- and family-centered, and outcome-oriented. Their programs and services include: child care, school-age after school and summer programs, emergency food assistance, senior activities, computer classes, teen projects, community service projects, and community volunteer center and outreach.

Michael Delia, East End House president and chief executive officer is delighted with the donation.

"East Cambridge Savings Bank is a great friend and supporter of East End House in so many ways," he said. "This most recent donation of $10,000 to our programs and services is very important support for our community center, and the perfect example of their partnership with, and generosity toward, our agency.
