The Exhibit was prepared by Sarah Boyer, the oral history project coordinator for the Cambridge Historical Commission, and is located at East Cambridge Savings Banks main office at 292 Cambridge Street. Boyer is also the author of a soon-to-be-published book on the oral history of East Cambridge, All in the Same Boat. As part of its 150th anniversary celebration, East Cambridge Savings Bank has reserved 150 copies of the book which will be offered to the public at a discount of $10 off the original price on a first come, first served basis.
Book Signing
The reserved books will be available for pick-up at a Premier Book Signing event where Boyer will be on hand to autograph copies of her work. Additional copies of the book will be on sale at the event, which will be held after the first of the year.
Ongoing Exhibit
The public is also invited to visit any of East Cambridge Savings Banks six office locations to view the Banks own exhibit of historical photos and documents from over the past 150 years, and to witness a timeline of world events in sequence with Bank milestones over the decades.
An online exhibit celebrating the 150th anniversary is also available at the Banks web site, www.ecsb.com. For more information, contact the East Cambridge Savings Bank marketing department at 617-551-2356 or info@ecsb.com.
