Energy Efficiency Residential Loan Program
We are accepting applications for unsecured energy efficiency residential loans for owners of 1-6 family owner-occupied properties that have obtained a cost estimate for energy improvements through the Cambridge Energy Alliance. Available to qualified borrowers only.
How Do I Apply For a Loan?
- Submitting an application-you have five choices:
- Apply online.
- Stop by any of our branches and meet with a Customer Service Representative.
- Contact our Customer Service Department at 800-354-3272.
- Fax your application to 617-551-2582.
- Contact Tricia Rizzo 617-551-2453 in the Lending Department for an application or to apply via the telephone.
- Copy of cost estimate from Conservation Services Group representative.
- Completed application, either written or online.
- Copies of 1 month of pay stubs for all income listed on the application.
- Other documentation as required.
- Upon receipt and review of all required documents and verification by ECSB of the applicant’s qualification for the credit requested, ECSB will authorize the loan to close.
- Borrower to schedule closing with contractor and ECSB.
- Loan proceeds will be made payable jointly to both contractor and the borrowers.
Special Features of the Unsecured Energy Efficiency Loan
- Loans range from $1,000 up to $25,000.
- There are no fees or closing costs.
- The program provides you with fixed monthly payments.
- For borrowers with an existing ECSB mortgage on the dwelling to be improved, the rate will be 1% over the borrower’s existing mortgage rate at the time this loan closed or the special program rate whichever is less.
- Your project may benefit from reduced interest rates offered through the Heat Loan Program. Your Conservation Services Group representative will determine which portions of your project qualify.
