East Cambridge Savings Bank at the Century mark
To commemorate its 100th Anniversary in 1954, East Cambridge Savings Bank published a souvenir booklet highlighting the history of the Bank and the significant role it played in the lives of the residents of a dynamic Cambridge community.
The booklet, called Freedom in Action, focuses on one of the most encouraging freedoms created and sustained by the American philosophy of life the opportunity to look forward with assurance to the fulfillment of plans and desires, through thrift and home financing.
East Cambridge Savings Bank is mindful of the part it is privileged to play in the achievements of its depositors and its mortgagors, the Bank declared at the century mark.
The souvenir booklet contained a pledge by the leaders of the East Cambridge Savings Bank at the time to perpetuate the ideals of its founders, enriching all who seek to further their personal interests and ambitions through the use of the Banks many services.
Today, fifty years later, East Cambridge Savings Bank continues to live up to that original ideal.
